FRESH
Beauty, beholds the beholder
Broken, beaten, bashed and bold
Raped , thorn, gashed and bruised
Cut, slashed, hacked and cracked
Slapped, punched, pinned and kicked.
Beauty, beholds the beholder
Fair lady cries no tears
No one listens to tales of past
Induced, reduced abused and used
Rarely upright, blood trickles downwards.
Beauty, beholds the beholder
Dolled up, makeup, cleans up well
Bruise on face left leg swells
Arms broken, fingers in a mess
Thorn clothes, slashed throat
Blood upoon your dress
Beauty, becomes the beholder
Phone rings,
Cops come quick
No trick deep shit
Door breaks, gunfire
Laydown, loud sounds
More shots fired,
Hospital call,
Game over.
Hey very nice blog!! Man .. Lovely .. Remarkable .. I will bookmark your blog and also get that feeds also…
Cheers, thanks for stopping by. what is it you do?
I really like your poetry…it’s so visceral. This one really got to me. Keep blogging!
In our big world its always nice to be noticed regardless of who we are. our journey at times appears hard and for all this it paves the way to a place where we may not of thought possible. In writing from the heart we visualize our innerself portrayed in black and white. For me when i write I write quickly, i very rarley if at all correct the errors in my writing as i feel the content is more important. in the “Fresh” poem an obvious conclusion was had, i pushed out against what i would normally write about. the picture of the young girl on your site is this you little girl.
Had your creative writing started as a result of pain in your life or was it something else. Your writing is very open and honest. have you always written from the inside out. its a strange question for sure. as im sure you know creative writing can arrive in your head from all situations. be it a dark lonely place or a bright sunny day. thanks for dropping by.
From what ive read in your blog so far it appears you have a lot of stories and tales. I wonder if youd be interested in portraying some of these in a book that has been underway for sometime. http://firstgo.wordpress.com/ its a blog setup for people to put down there experiences perhaps you have stories and adventures that others havent had. check it out.
Whew. Damn. That captured something awful a little too well — the long build-up (all those damn adjectives driving it home, each one felt a little like a punch to me) and then the terrible (anti?)-climax of it all. Powerful stuff. I feel like you’re playing a trick on me with the title.
The end was in sight from the start. Fresh was bordering insanisty, escapism and horror film type ordeal mixed with real world antics. Sometimes painting a pictue you have to use more than one colour paint. Reality is a scary place.
